Clemson lands Auburn transfer portal target Joe Girard

Former Syracuse Orange guard and Auburn transfer portal target Joe Girard has decided to finish his collegiate career with the Clemson Tigers.

Girard is the No. 38 ranked player in the transfer portal and the No. 23 ranked guard in the portal according to 247Sports. Additionally, Girard is rated as a four-star transfer with a 0.9300 rating.

The Glens Falls, New York native played in almost every game during his time with Syracuse and averaged double-digit points per game in three of his four seasons with the program.

In the 2022-23 season, the six-foot-one point guard averaged 16.4 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game, and three assists per game.

The Tigers have reeled in two new players from the transfer portal this season: Denver Jones from FIU and Cheney Johnson from Alabama-Huntsville. Both will aid Auburn in the backcourt. Auburn is also in the hunt for former Vanderbilt guard, Tyrin Lawrence, whom Auburn recently received a prediction.
