Clemson football 2024 schedule is complete: See the full list of opponents, dates
Clemson will play the top four finishers in last season’s ACC standings during its 2024 football schedule, which was released by the league on Wednesday evening.
As has become customary, the Coach Dabo Swinney’s team will play eight ACC games and four nonconference games, highlighted by a previously announced season opener against Georgia in the Aflac Kickoff Game in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Aug. 31.
The Tigers’ home schedule includes nonconference games against Appalachian State, The Citadel and South Carolina. ACC games at Memorial Stadium will feature Louisville, NC State, Stanford and Virginia.
Clemson will be making road trips to Florida State, Pitt, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, with the trek to Tallahassee to face the Seminoles and former Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei representing the Tigers' first true road game of the season on Oct. 5.
Clemson will face the top four teams in the ACC's final 2023 standings - champion Florida State, runner-up Louisville, third-place NC State and fourth-place Virginia Tech. Those four teams were a combined 26-6 in ACC play last season.
The Tigers are coming off a 9-4 season that culminated with five consecutive victories, including a 38-35 win against Kentucky in the Gator Bowl, and will face six bowl teams from 2023 – Georgia, Appalachian State, Louisville, NC State, Florida State and Virginia Tech.
The season opener against Georgia will mark the 65th meeting between the teams.
Swinney is 1-2 against the Bulldogs, with his team winning 38-35 in Clemson in 2013, losing in Athens 45-21 in 2014 and losing in Charlotte 10-3 in 2021. Beyond this year’s season-opening showdown, Clemson and Georgia also have home-and-away series scheduled for 2029-30 and 2032-33.
