Clemson baseball score vs. Miami: Live updates from ACC Tournament championship game

The two hottest baseball teams in the ACC will meet for the ACC Tournament championship after all.

No. 3 seed Clemson (42-17), winner of 15 consecutive games, will battle No. 4 seed Miami (40-18), which has won 13 of its past 15 games, in the title game on Sunday (noon, ESPN2) at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina.

It will be the first time Clemson and Miami have played this season.

The Tigers are in the title game for the first time since winning it in 2016. The Hurricanes are making their first championship game appearance since 2012 after last wearing the crown in 2008.

Clemson is making its 23rd appearance in the ACC championship game while Miami is making its third.

Under the guidance of first-year coach Erik Bakich, Clemson advanced to the final by defeating No. 7 seed North Carolina 10-4 while Miami ousted top seed Wake Forest 7-2 in Saturday’s semifinal games. No top seed has won the ACC Tournament title since North Carolina in 2013.

Clemson is expected to receive a national Top 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament, which means the Tigers also would host a Super Regional if they win their regional tournament.

The 16 regional sites will be announced Sunday evening, and the complete 64-team field will be revealed on Monday (noon, ESPN2).
