The Oklahoman’s championship picks

Hallie Hart: Jones. The Longhorns are going for the second state championship four-peat in Oklahoma high school girls basketball history. Although they lost several seniors from last year’s team, they have a balanced group of scorers. Kneah Smith, Karizma Johnson and Sofi Woodson each have double-digit scoring averages, and Woodson averages seven rebounds per game.

Jordan Davis: Idabel. The Warriors have won 21 straight games behind the electric play of 6-foot-6 forward Mary Carden. The senior Oral Roberts commit is nearly averaging a double-double on the season and has spearheaded Idabel’s efforts alongside Mercades Lopez and Jaylen Cauthron.
