Cincinnati Reds share Joey Votto tributes, farewell video on social media
Longtime Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto confirmed Friday that he accepted a non-roster invite from his hometown Toronto Blue Jays. Votto reported early Saturday to the Jays' spring facility in Dunedin, Florida.
The Reds, scheduled to visit Toronto in August, paid tribute to Votto with social media posts Saturday.
The last time Votto played in Toronto, he hit a go-ahead home run in the 8th inning of a Cincinnati win in 2022 at Rogers Centre.
