PITTSBURGH — When it rains it pours.

Already in the midst of an eight-day stretch that includes three scheduled off days, the Cincinnati Reds just got another day “off” Saturday, thanks to a weather postponement in Pittsburgh.

But it cost them a long day of baseball Sunday, when they’re now scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Pirates in a split doubleheader, with the 6:05 p.m. makeup game following the regularly scheduled 1:35 p.m. game.

They are the teams' final meetings of the season. The Pirates lead the season series 5-3.

Both games Sunday are to be broadcast on 700-AM radio and Bally Sports Ohio TV.

Reds left-hander Brandon Williamson, who was scheduled to start Saturday, gets the assignment for Sunday's first game. Sunday's original starter, Luke Weaver, starts the nightcap.

For Reds fans in Pittsburgh for the series, tickets for Saturday's game are good for admission to Sunday's 6:05 p.m. game only (or can be exchanged for a Pirates home game later in the season, based on availability).
