Zac Taylor confirms Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow undergoing wrist surgery today

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will undergo surgery Monday for his injured wrist, which was first reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Burrow injured his wrist in a Thursday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens and was ruled out for the rest of the season. The NFL is reportedly investigating the team's handling of Burrow's injury status before the Baltimore game, but a resolution could take weeks.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed the report at the end of his postgame press conference following Cincinnati's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Bengals on Friday placed Burrow on injured reserve and elevated quarterback AJ McCarron to back up Jake Browning for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Bengals are home underdogs to the Steelers, which marks the first time this season Cincinnati isn't a home favorite. Both teams are coming off losses last week.
