Christian Pulisic gave himself a pretty decent birthday present.

A day before he turns 18, the American teen phenom bagged his first goal of the Bundesliga season in Borussia Dortmund’s 6-0 destruction of Darmstadt at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday.

Pulisic put himself in the right place at the right time, hitting the ball first time to beat flailing goalkeeper Sven Schipplock for Dortmund’s third goal.

Pulisic also finished the day with two assists, first with this nutmeg of a Darmstadt defender to set up Gonzalo Castro’s second goal of the day.

Pulisic then broke free from two Darmstadt players and lofted a cross into the box to fellow teenager Emre Mor, whose finish gave Dortmund a 6-0 lead.

It’s been quite a month for the Hershey, Pa., native. He became the youngest player ever to start a World Cup qualifier for the United States men’s national team in a 4-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago that secured USA’s place in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying. On Wednesday, he made his Champions League debut in a 6-0 rout of Legia Warsaw as Dortmund’s youngest Champions League player ever.

So what are Pulisic’s birthday plans? While with the USMNT, he revealed that he was working on getting tickets to a Justin Bieber concert in Cologne. Yes, Justin Bieber.

Christian Pulisic, after all, is still a kid.
