Former Galaxy star Cristian Pavon charged with rape in Argentina court
Boca Juniors winger and former Los Angeles Galaxy star Cristian Pavon was charged with rape in an Argentina court, according to ESPN.
The alleged rape occurred Nov. 1, 2019 in Cordoba, where Pavon lives. Pavon is accused of raping a woman in a bathroom. The woman filed charges against Pavon on Nov. 25, 2020.
Pavon, 25, denied all charges in February.
He's ordered to give testimony in court March 23.
Cristian Pavon joined LA Galaxy in 2019
Pavon has been a member of Boca Juniors since 2014. In 2019, he was loaned to the LA Galaxy. The Galaxy kept Pavon around for the 2020 season.
Pavon is currently rehabbing after undergoing surgery on both ankles in February.
