This week in the broadcast booth, Chiefs Kingdom gets Tony Romo, Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson on the call. This is the fourth time they’ve got this specific crew this season. They’re considered to be the top crew for CBS and it indicates this is the “marquee game” of the week for the broadcast networking.
With four other games going on at this time slot, the Chiefs actually aren’t demanding as much of the broadcast map as they usually would. Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Nevada and most of New Mexico will get the Broncos-Titans game, along with the Tennessee area. A portion of Texas and New York will get the Texans-Giants game. This game does feature one intriguing storyline that could draw eyes, with Andy Reid’s former protégé Doug Pederson returning to Kansas City as head coach of Jacksonville. This is the second time that the two will have faced off since Pederson left his post as offensive coordinator with the Chiefs to become an NFL head coach. It’s his first time facing his former team as head coach of the Jaguars.
