Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco explains his push-ups during Week 4 victory over Jets

A unique quality that Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco brings to the team is his fiery play and energy. His passion is often unmatched, and his competitiveness has made him a popular rising star in the league.

Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. recently sat down with Pacheco courtesy of NFL’s official pizza partner, Little Caesars, to discuss community pizza events and his reason for pushups during the Week 4 victory over the New York Jets.

“For me. It’s been an amazing partnership,” said Pacheco about working with The Little Caesars® Love Kitchen®, a restaurant on wheels during an early season event with the Downtown Council of Kansas City’s community services center, The Beehive, and NourishKC’s Kansas City Community Kitchen, with pizza served to more than 600 people.

The tenacity to help others in the community matches Pacheco’s intensity during games. After taking a big hit, he recalled his viral moment doing pushups in the middle of a game at MetLife Stadium this season.

“I’m just making sure that the defenders are not getting the best of me on the field,” Pacheco explained. “When they’re out there tackling me, they lay on you, a little bit bigger than me. So some of the guys try to take advantage of it. And for me. It’s got to be big out there. And so, I did little pushups for the first down celebration, get the crowd going, and start showing me love.”

Pacheco finished the Week 4 homecoming in New Jersey with 20 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown.
