Chiefs eyeing Laviska Shenault Jr. following Tyreek Hill’s departure

The NFL world continues to flip upside down with every passing day.  The Kansas City Chiefs were the latest headliner after a shocking decision to trade away superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Hill joined the Miami Dolphins and signed a long-term extension, and now the Chiefs are suddenly thin at the wide receiver position.

Well, it might not be for very long. According to Jordan Schultz, the Chiefs have now checked in on former Colorado Buffaloes WR Laviska Shenault Jr.

The Jaguars have an embarrassment of riches, so to speak, after a massive free-agency spending spree, and Shenault has been linked as a trade candidate ever since.

Shenault had a forgettable 2021 campaign, although the Urban Meyer-led Jaguars was one to forget all around. The young WR still has a lot of talent and just needs an opportunity, which it doesn’t look like he will get in Jacksonville.

If Shenault does get traded to the Chiefs, it could be a massive boost for the former Buffs star. He can do a lot of things on offense, and he would join former Buffs star Eric Bieniemy, the Chiefs offensive coordinator.

The Chiefs need a wide receiver now more than ever, and Shenault is on the trade block, so this move makes sense for both sides.
