Chiefs DT Chris Jones on Packers QB Jordan Love: ‘He’s been progressing’

The Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football in Week 13 in a game in a game that could prove to be crucial for their chances of winning the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed.

Star defensive lineman Chris Jones told reporters this week that he has been impressed with the Packers, specifically quarterback Jordan Love, who has put together remarkably efficient performances over the past two weeks.

“He’s been progressing ever since they gave him the opportunity to get the starting job,” Jones said. “He learned a lot under Aaron Rodgers and kind of has some of his mechanics. Their team is on a roll. [Packers Head Coach] Matt LaFleur is a heck of a coach, and that offense is rolling.”

Green Bay has won two straight games, and in those contests, Love has completed 68 percent of his passes for 590 yards and five touchdowns.

Love has made some serious headway over the last month, and while the jury may still be out on the 25-year-old quarterback, fans in Green Bay should be encouraged by his level of play.
