Check out the winners from the Citrus Coast League and TCAA cross country championships

J.R. Lesher of Hueneme won the boys individual title, Channel Islands took home the boys team title, and Nataly Vigil captured the girls individual title to lead Fillmore to the girls team championship at the Citrus Coast League Cross Country Championships on Thursday at Lake Casitas.

Edgardo Santiago Gayton was second in 16:26.96, Uriel Texis finished third in 16:27.50, Diego Salazar placed sixth in 16:51.83, and Mathew Anthony was eighth in 17:00.50 as Channel Islands had four of the top-10 finishers to secure boys team title with 39 points.

Lesher finished in 15:52.52 to secure the boys league title, while teammates Carlos Villagomez (17:35.45) and Sergio Cobos (17:38.72) were ninth and 10th, respectively, to lead Hueneme (49) to a second-place team finish.

Eduardo Vigil finished fifth in 16:35.51 and Angel Garcia was seventh in 16:58.64 for third-place Fillmore (50).

Diego Rodriguez took fourth in 16:28.97 for fourth-place Santa Paula.

Dylan Blacker was 18th in 18:09.29 for fifth-place Nordhoff (135).

Carpinteria (146) and Malibu (163) finished sixth and seventh.

Nataly Vigil won the girls race in 19:50.50, Niza Laureano was second in 20:17.68, Leah Barragan took fourth in 21:36.22, Dianna Santa Rosa was sixth in 21:46.66, Alexandra Martinez was seventh in 21:47.38, Jessica Orozco was eighth in 22:06.49, and Jacqueline Olivares placed ninth in 22:55.45 as Fillmore had seven of the top-10 finishers to win the girls title with 18 points.

Emily Schurmer was 13th in 23:46.03 and Irene Quackenbush was 12th in 23:46.29 for second-place Nordhoff (75).

Audrey Kramer took 10th in 23:09.58 for third-place Carpinteria (93).

Sabrina Alcantar was 15th in 23:53.56 for fourth-place Channel Islands (110).

Lindsey Ramirez was third overall in 21:01.24 for fifth-place Santa Paula (111).

Alexa Ponce finished 12th in 23:39.16 for sixth-place Hueneme (122).

Malibu’s Tallula Murphree was fifth overall in 21:45.52.

TCAA finals

Foothill Tech was the boys team winner, Cate’s Everest Schipper won the boys individual title, Rebecca Walker earned the girls individual title, and Thacher won the girls team title at the TCAA Cross Country Championships on Thursday at Camino Real Park in Ventura.

Baker Carlisle finished second in 16:00.6, Viggo Bortolin was fifth in 16:33.0, Jaden Prillhart was sixth in 16:45.3, Nathan Leedy placed seventh in 16:57.6, and Henry Fulk took 10th in 17:26.3 as Foothll Tech had five of the top-10 boys finishers to capture the team title with 31 points.

Schipper won the boys race in 15:53.8 and teammate Ati Zwieback was eighth in 17:20.4 for second-place Cate (44).

Mateo Escalante was third in 16:27.5 and Lucas De Clercq was ninth in 17:20.4 for third-place Thacher (57).

Mario Partello finished 13th in 17:39.2 to lead fourth-place St. Bonaventure (124).

Matthew Musson placed 22nd in 18:49.2 to lead fifth-place Dunn (133) and Tanner Murphy was 20th in 18:29.4 to lead sixth-place Laguna Blanca (159).

Luis Tototzintle finished 27th in 19:24.3 and Louis Lemus was 35th in 20:15.1 for Santa Clara.

Walker took the girls title with a time of 19:09.2 with teammate Keera Wallace finishing second in 19:15.9. Calista Patterson placed 10th in 21:08.4 as Foothill Tech had three of the top-10 finishers to take second with 46 points.

Avery Lieb finished third in 19:33.1, Julie Lui was fourth in 19:59.0, Taylor Gudebski was sixth in 20:24.0, Sarah Sonenshine placed seventh in 20:49.7, and Annika Zhou was ninth in 21:05.9 to lead Thacher to the team title with 29 points.

Francesca Sutch was fifth in 20:06.5 for third-place Cate (78). Ava Loper-Benson was 11th in 21:12.6 for fourth-place Dunn. Kira Rameson was eighth in 20:53.3 for fifth-place Laguna Blanca (128). Charlotte Bailey placed 25th in 23:53.2 for sixth-place La Reina (154).
