Chargers superstar linebacker Joey Bosa leaves game vs. Packers with foot injury, carted off in tears

The Green Bay Packers are in the midst of facing some of the NFL's top defensive players.

Aaron Donald a couple weeks ago. TJ Watt last week. Joey Bosa today. Aiden Hutchinson on Thursday.

But after just four plays into the game on Sunday, Bosa's day was over against the Packers.

The five-time Pro Bowl linebacker suffered a foot injury early in the first quarter and limped off the field. He had to be taken to the locker room on a cart and was in tears.

The Chargers initially labeled Bosa questionable to return before later ruling him out.

Bosa returned to the sidelines in the second half needing crutches. The Chargers lost to the Packers, 23-20, to drop to 4-6. The Packers improved to 4-6.

Bosa, 28, is a former first-round draft pick by the Chargers and was the 2016 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He missed 12 games last year with a torn groin.

The Packers also lost one of their top players in Aaron Jones to an injury in the first half.
