What channel is Louisville women's basketball vs. DePaul on today? Time, TV schedule

Louisville's 77-59 season-opening win over Cincinnati provided the 15th-ranked Cardinals with a first look at what the team has to offer.

After getting off to a slow start filled with turnovers, the team adjusted. U of L coach Jeff Walz noted some of the early miscues to his players, who still are learning to play together. While Walz doesn't want them to get out of their scoring mentality and having that confidence, the Cardinals have to get comfortable making an extra pass.

"Those are the things that we'll be able to break down on film and show them," Walz said.

The Cardinals held the Bearcats below 40% shooting from the field, and their offense produced 41 second-half points.

Transfer guards Sydney Taylor and Jayda Curry paced the offense with 16 and 13 points, respectively. Forward Olivia Cochran continued to be a dominant force on the boards. After ending her junior season one rebound shy of her career high (15) in the Elite Eight against Iowa, Cochran opened the 2023-24 campaign with 10 rebounds against Cincinnati.

Louisville is playing DePaul in its home opener at 4 p.m. Sunday. The two teams are tied 17-17 in the series, with U of L winning three of the last four. Last season, the Cardinals won, 81-67, against the host Blue Demons.

The last time they played in Louisville, DePaul won, 73-72, eliminating the Cardinals from the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
