The Florida State women's soccer team looks to take its next step toward a fourth national championship tonight in the NCAA tournament.

FSU is the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA women's soccer tournament and undefeated this season at 17-0-1. Coach Brian Pensky's Seminoles host the Texas A&M Aggies in the second round of the NCAA tournament at the Seminole Soccer Complex.

The 2023 NCAA tournament kicked off with a thorough 5-0 win over Morehead State last week. Five different FSU players scored those goals, including seniors Lauren Flynn, Jody Brown and Beata Olsson. Kept off the scoring sheet were ACC Offensive Player of the Year Onyi Echegini (though she did tally an assist), who led the ACC with 13 goals this season, and ACC Freshman of the Year Jordynn Dudley, who was fourth with 10.

The Aggies (10-7-4) are the No. 8 seed in FSU's bracket. Coach G Guerrieri's team beat Colorado 1-0 in the first round of the NCAA tournament on a first-half goal by junior Mia Pante. Senior forward Jazmine Wilkinson was second in the SEC with 10 goals this season, while graduate striker Sammy Smith was tied for second with seven assists.

FSU opened the season with a 2-1 win over Texas A&M on Aug. 17 in College Station. Olsson scored in the 24th minute, and Taylor Huff put in the game-winner with about 4 minutes left to go.
