The Wolfpack swept Ball State last weekend but is coming off a loss Tuesday to UNC Wilmington. Their offense is led by East Carolina transfer Alec Makarewicz, who came into the series with 17 homers (tied for sixth in the ACC), 58 RBIs (third) and 1.140 OPS (seventh). NC State won Friday's opener off a 3-for-6 night by Makarewicz that included his 18th home run and two RBIs by Matt Heavner.
