CCC Track & Field: Find out which Brevard athletes rank in state top 15 ahead of meet

The Cape Coast Conference track and field meet will be held Friday at Astronaut High School. The meet consists of Brevard County's 16 public schools and will begin at noon with the first round of field events.

At last year's meet, both Rockledge boys and girls teams won first place. It was the 12th straight Cape Coast Conference Championship for the Raiders girls.

This season, Rockledge's Jaida Williams-Goins enters the meet with the state's fourth fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles after she ran the event in a time of 13.81. Fellow Raider, Demond Scott Jr., is ranked fourth in the state in the high jump (6-7.5).

Viera's Jayden McPherson clocked a time of 10.35 seconds in the 100 meters race, giving him the third fastest time in the state this season.

For Bayside, Jordana Nunez (2:13.91) ran the fifth fastest time in the state in the 800 meters this season, and Nickiah Wilkinson is ranked second in the state in the high jump (6-9.5).

Cocoa's Alayezia Williams is ranked in the top 15 in two events this season after being ranked 11th in the 100-meter hurdles and seventh in state in the triple jump.
