Cavs coach Tyronn Lue leaves game vs. Magic with undisclosed illness

Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue left Tuesday’s game against the Orlando Magic early in the second quarter, and stayed off the sideline for the remainder of the game with an undisclosed illness.

Lue, 40, left the court and headed back to the locker room at Amway Center in Orlando with team security with 8:02 left in the second quarter.

Cavs assistant head coach Larry Drew took the team’s reins after Lue’s second-quarter exit, and remained at the head of the bench for the rest of the game. It was a grim one for the reeling Cavaliers, who blew a 21-point lead with a horrendous second half, scoring just nine points in the fourth quarter and falling to the Magic, 116-98.

We’ll update this post with more information on Lue’s health and status as it becomes available.
