Carolina: Another rookie makes it official by signing
The Carolina Panthers draft picks are quickly showing that they are ready, willing, and able to play at their respective positions. The two cornerbacks that the Panthers picked in the NFL draft are now under contract.
Third round pick from West Virginia Daryl Worley came into the Panthers facility and got his contract paperwork all signed and he is officially a member of the Carolina Panthers. Worley did not waste any time getting the red tape out of the way. His contract is about 3.2 million over 4 years, which is the standard rookie contract length.

Worley entered the NFL Draft after his junior season at West Virginia. He was very impressive in his last season in the college ranks, so much so, that the Panthers traded up to get him. He had 27 starts in 34 games while at West Virginia. He totaled 146 tackles and 10 interceptions, he defended 12 passes, had 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
The 21 year old, six foot one 204 lbs is a big cornerback. He is big, strong and physical. He is another player to set and poised to make an impact on the Panthers in the secondary or on special teams. When he is on the field he makes plays. He is a hitter and he will pounce on a live ball at any moment.
