Every week during the high school basketball season, the Current-Argus asks readers to vote on the Prep Hero Basketball Poll.
Readers can vote at www.currentargus.com. The poll closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday; the winner will be announced online Thursday.
This week's nominees:
Kailee Padilla Artesia Lady Bulldogs guard: She scored 15 points during a Jan. 2 win over the Carlsbad Cavegirls in Carlsbad.
Lorin Wagner Artesia Lady Bulldogs post: She tied with Padilla as the team's leading scorer against the Cavegirls Jan. 2.
Clay Kincaid Artesia Bulldog post: Scored 13 points against the Carlsbad Cavemen Jan. 2 in Carlsbad.
Gio Ruiz Loving guard: He had a combined 35 points against three opponents last week at the Jal Panther Invitational. He is also averaging 13 points per game.
