The Washington Capitals are headed to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1998 following their 4-0 Game 7 win at Tampa Bay on Wednesday night.
Naturally, Washington fans celebrated in the only way fitting of a city starved of a championship for two decades.
They took the streets of Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night, flooding the nation’s capital with a sea of red.

Mayor Muriel Bowser even got in on the action, tweeting out a video of the crazy scene right outside the Capital One Center.
The Capitals will take on the Golden Knights — who are playing in their inaugural season in the NHL — in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night in Las Vegas.
