Cape Cod Baseball League roundup: Chatham splits doubleheader

The Chatham Anglers split a doubleheader of makeup games Tuesday night and are now (9-19-1).

The first of the two games was a 7-2 win over the Wareham Gatemen (11-18-2). The Gatemen doubled their lead in the top of the sixth inning via a solo home run of the bat of South Florida's Bobby Boser. Chatham got on the board in the bottom of the seventh, when West Virginia's JJ Weatherholt singled to score Zach MacDonald (Miami of Ohio), cutting the deficit in half.

In the second game, the Anglers fell 5-2 to the Falmouth Commodores (15-15-2). Wallace Community College's Kade Snell knocked in the first three runs for the Commodores in the top of the sixth inning with one swing of the bat. Evan O'Toole (Oklahoma State), got the start for Falmouth, and earned the win after going five innings, and only allowing a run.

Texas A&M sophomore Kaeden Kent had three hits, and scored a run out of the leadoff spot for the Anglers.
