Congratulations to Campbellsport senior running back Ben Timm on being voted the Fond du Lac Area Player of the Year.

Timm received 8,622 out of 21,775 total votes (39.6 %) to earn the honor.

"The season Ben has had is a result of all the hard work he's put in the past three seasons," said Cougars head coach Todd Wondra.

"At the end of Ben's sophomore season our starting running back got hurt, which in turn, got Ben a lot of reps in practice where he started to learn the patience he needed, along with Joseph Gardner helping him with reads and constantly giving him advice. Then, last year, he took over as the starter and continued to grow and get better with all the time he put in the weight room alongside his dad and brothers."

"He also joined track the past couple seasons," Wondra added. "This past winter, Coach Toshner took some of his athletes, including Ben, for speed training. This season, the speed training, along with his work in the weight room, all came together on the field. We also have an offensive line with some experience that opened holes up front for Ben, but it goes to show that your hard work, dedication, and continuing to learn all pays off in the end."
