Caitlin Clark featured in new Nike Tech ad ahead of 2023-24 season

Iowa women’s basketball superstar Caitlin Clark isn’t too far away from beginning her senior season with the Hawkeyes.

After leading Iowa to the brink of a national championship with a magical March Madness run in 2023, Clark will look to deliver the Hawkeyes back to the Final Four and to a championship parade in the 2023-24 women’s college basketball season.

It all gets underway beginning two weeks from Sunday when Iowa hosts its Crossover at Kinnick presented by State Farm on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. CT for an exhibition versus DePaul. That exhibition will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Naturally, like anywhere Clark and the Hawkeyes go these days, tickets have been selling like hotcakes. The Crossover at Kinnick is already poised to shatter the women’s college basketball all-time attendance record.

Before the season officially begins, the game’s biggest star found time to shoot an advertisement for Nike.

It looks like Clark is sporting one of the pink Nike Sportswear Tech Fleece Windrunners that retail at $145.

Take a look below.

“My favorite piece of Nike Tech is definitely the top. I’ll probably go with gray because you can match it with anything, any shoes. I’m a big shoe person. I think it’s an everyday piece that you can wear to really whatever you want. My name’s Caitlin, and this is Nike Tech,” Clark says as she tosses a basketball in between hands and spins it atop her fingertips.

If you’re into the whole idea that there could be an Easter egg within an advertisement, then how about trying this one on for size: Did Caitlin Clark just tease that she may have her own shoe line in short order?

That “I’m a big shoe person” line feels like it’s just too conveniently placed. While it was pretty sweet watching Clark torch through the NCAA Tournament last year in her $600 Nike Kobe 5 Protro sneakers, it’s time for Clark to have her own kicks.

Get it done, Nike! Give the people what they want!

In the meantime, watching Clark light up opposing defenses in that “Bruce Lee” colorway will have to suffice.

Hats off to Clark as her superstardom landed her a Nike deal back in October of 2022 and creates awesome opportunities like this one ahead of the 2023-24 women’s college basketball season.
