S.C. Border Bowl shutout, losing streaks extended

Team South Carolina lost in shutout fashion to Team Georgia in Border Bowl XI at Burke County High School, making it the third year in a row the team failed to score in defeat.
Georgia's 21-0 win evens the all-time series at five wins apiece — the 2021 edition of the game was not held due to COVID-19 precautions.
Team South Carolina was held to just 111 yards of total offense and was unable to capitalize on any of Team Georgia's three turnovers.
Aiken High quarterback Luke Jones went 5-for-14 passing for 37 yards and an interception, while Silver Bluff's Mickenzie Atterberry went 3-for-5 for 10 yards.
Atterberry was the team's leading rusher, carrying the ball eight times for 26 yards. Strom Thurmond's Demarius Tolen was the leading receiver, catching two passes for 27 yards.
