Buzz Williams speaks ahead of Texas A&M vs. No. 6 Tennessee

Texas A&M (14-8, 5-4 SEC) will host the No. 6-ranked Tennessee Volunteers (17-5, 7-2 SEC) Saturday at 7:00 p.m. CT.

I wouldn’t say I’m a believer yet, but the Aggies just might be turning a corner, and the consistency of Tyrece Radford has been a welcome improvement.

It’s been a chore for Coach Buzz Williams to find a lineup that can stay healthy and give him what he needs on the floor every game. However, throughout the last three games the Aggies have been shooting much better and he might have found something in Soloman Washington.

“Solo” as they call him is like a guard version of Andersson Garcia. He is relentless on defense, unselfish on offense, and a deceptively good rebounder. Buzz has been putting more faith in him and it’s starting to pay off.

“I would say the first thing is he’s just maturing at a rapid rate he’s always been physically gifted at least since I’ve known him but I think he’s maturing emotionally is really really smart and

I’ve said that from the beginning and so I think as he’s matured emotionally it’s allowed him to kind of handle the environments the ambiance the things that he can control the things that he can’t

control.”
