Bulls’ Dalen Terry registers 4th double-digit-scoring game in G League

Chicago Bulls rookie Dalen Terry reached double figures in scoring for the fourth time this season in the NBA G League Saturday on assignment with the Windy City Bulls.

Terry produced 11 points, six rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in a 99-94 loss to the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He went 3-of-9 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line in nearly 31 minutes of work as Windy City dropped to 5-2.

The 18th pick struggled a bit to shoot in the contest after missing all four of his 3-point attempts. However, he had some strong takes down low in the paint that showed his ability to finish through contact.

The appearance by Terry was his fourth in the G League with playing time at a premium in Chicago. He has totaled just 29 minutes across nine games with the parent team in mostly mop-up duty with several players ahead of him on the depth chart.

Terry has even asked the team to play in the G League to get consistent minutes and stay sharp on the court. He is now averaging 14.3 points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal on 51.2% shooting from the field in 31.5 minutes.

The opportunity to play with Windy City will give him a great chance to continue the transition to the NBA and work on his overall game. He is showing in spurts why the team took him in the first round as he could eventually develop into a rotation player.
