Buffalo Bisons top Columbus Clippers on Orelvis Martinez grand slam in 10th inning

Wednesday's game: Buffalo 12, Columbus 9

Recap: Orelvis Martinez hit a grand slam in the 10th inning to give the Bisons a 12-8 lead, and Buffalo held on when the Clippers were able to score only once in the bottom of the 10th. The Clippers' Jose Tena hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game. In the 10th, the Bisons' Leo Jimenez started on second base and moved to third on a two-out wild pitch thrown by Randy Labaut. Spencer Horwitz and Nathan Lukes then walked before the Martinez grand slam. In the bottom of the 10th, Johnathan Rodriguez singled in Juan Brito for the final run. Tena and Rodriguez each had three hits for Columbus. Rodriguez and Micah Pries also homered. Nathan Lukes and Damiano Palmegiani also homered for Buffalo.
