Bucs WR Mike Evans leaves practice with apparent leg injury

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have already lost one Pro Bowler on offense to injury during training camp, and another one left the field Friday.

Wide receiver Mike Evans left Friday’s practice with an apparent leg injury, per multiple reports.

Heading into his ninth NFL season, Evans is the only player in league history to begin his career with eight straight seasons of at least 1,000 receiving yards, and is Tampa Bay’s all-time leader in every major receiving category.

Since entering the NFL as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2014 draft, no other player in the league has more receiving touchdowns than Evans (75).

After practice, Bucs head coach Todd Bowles told the media Evans “might have tweaked a hamstring,” but didn’t have a definitive diagnosis just yet.

Hopefully, Evans’ exit is more precautionary than serious, but it will definitely be something to watch in the coming days.
