Bryant 90, Navy 80 (OT)

Navy forced overtime with a 3-pointer in the final seconds, but went cold in overtime and fell at Bryant, 90-80, in Smithfield, R.I.

The Midshipmen (5-4) trailed by seven points with under three minutes to play, but closed regulation on a 12-5 run to tie the score on a 3-pointer by guard Zach Fong with six seconds to play.

Fong hit it another three-pointer to give Navy its final lead of the day, 76-75, but Bryant (7-5) scored the next nine points to take control.

Bryant guard Dyami Starks had 17 points in the first half and finished the day with 23. Bulldogs guard Corey Maynard added 22 points, 12 of which came at the free throw line. Forward Dan Davin had 12 points and 14 rebounds

Fong led the Midshipmen with 21 points, which came thanks to a 7-for-10 performance from 3-point range. Guard Tilman Dunbar and forward Worth Smith each had 14, and forward Will Kelly had 10 rebounds and two blocked shots to go with his four points.

Navy, which was playing for the first time since Dec. 4, led, 34-33, at halftime. Starks and forward Alex Francis combined for 27 of the Bulldogs' 33 first-half points.
