After Bru McCoy injury, Moonshine Mountain Cookie Co. offering two free cookies Monday
Moonshine Mountain Cookie Co. is doing its part to support Bru McCoy after the Tennessee wide receiver suffered a devastating season-ending ankle injury against South Carolina on Saturday.
The cookie company will give Vols fans two free cookies Monday in honor of McCoy, who had signed an NIL deal as Moonshine Mountain's "Cookie Monster" for the 2023 season. The NIL deal agreed to hand out two free cookies at either of the company's two Knoxville locations any time McCoy scored two touchdowns in a game for the Vols.
McCoy never scored twice in a game this season. The former five-star recruit, who transferred to UT from Southern Cal before the 2022 season, underwent season-ending surgery after the injury for a "fracture-dislocation" of the right ankle, the university announced Sunday. In response, Moonshine Mountain Cookie Co. is recognizing the Tennessee star with the agreed-upon promotion.
"Our prayers to Bru and for his recovery," the company wrote on Twitter, the social media outlet formerly known as X. "He has been an absolute joy to work with."

Moonshine Mountain Cookie Co. is in its third season working with Tennessee players, as defensive back Alontae Taylor and wide receiver Cedric Tillman served as the "Cookie Monster" in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Moonshine Mountain is located at 7343 Kingston Pike in West Hills and 10205 Kingston Pike in Farragut. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET on Monday.
Bru McCoy stats
McCoy ranks second for the Vols in receptions (17) and third in receiving yards (217) this season. McCoy broke out last year for Tennessee, with career highs in receptions (52), yards (667) and touchdowns (4) after transferring from USC.
