Brooklyn Nets ranked fourth in latest ESPN.com NBA power rankings
The Brooklyn Nets are ranked as the fourth-best team in ESPN.com’s latest NBA power rankings published earlier this week. In last week’s edition, the Nets were ranked as the sixth-best team in the league so they have moved up two spots.
Since last week, Brooklyn has beaten the Golden State Warriors, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Atlanta Hawks. The Nets’ average margin of victory in those four games is 14.25 points and the most impressive win during that span was over the Cavaliers since the Warriors, Bucks, and Hawks were missing key players.
At this point, Brooklyn is on a 10-game winning streak and has won 14 of its past 15 games. The last time that the Nets were on a 10-game winning streak was during the 2005-2006 season.
ESPN’s Nick Friedell gave his take on the state of the Nets right now:
“The hottest team in the league has won nine straight, 13 of its past 14 and continues to play with a lot of confidence. Kevin Durant is playing like an MVP and coach Jacque Vaughn has simplified the messaging for a team that is getting contributions up and down the roster. Everything is clicking right now in Brooklyn.”
Brooklyn’s next game is Saturday at the Charlotte Hornets.
