Brooklyn Nets assistant coach Trevor Hendry to coach Vegas summer league team

The Brooklyn Nets have made it past the 2023 NBA Draft and have selected some players that will be interesting to see develop for the team over the next few seasons. With the Vegas summer league coming in less than two weeks from now, July 7th to July 17th, Brooklyn knows who will be leading the squad to a potential championship for the annual showcase.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Nets assistant coach Trevor Hendry will coach Brooklyn’s team in the summer league. Hendry has been with the Nets organization since the 2016-17 season when his first position was as video coordinator/player development for the Long Island Nets, the team’s G League affiliate, under then-head coach Ronald Nored.

Hendry has made his way up the organizational ladder throughout the past few seasons as he has held positions of player development and video coordinator for the Nets during the tenures of Kenny Atkinson, Steve Nash, and current head coach Jacque Vaughn. Hendry, native of Waterford, Connecticut, was named an assistant coach to begin the 2022-23 season and kept the position even after Vaughn took over as head coach.
