Broncos release first 2022 depth chart ahead of preseason
With the Denver Broncos set to play their first preseason game of the year on Saturday, the team is now required to release a depth chart.
Coaches always downplay preseason depth charts, but it can gives fans and pundits an idea of where players currently stack up in the pecking order.
Here’s a quick look at the team’s first depth chart of 2022.

No real surprises on Denver’s initial offensive depth chart, although it is interesting that Williams is listed as the starting running back opposed to the depth chart reading “Williams OR Gordon” in the RB1 spot. Regardless of how they’re listed, Williams and Gordon are expected to split reps this year.

No big surprises on defense, but it’s interesting that Kongbo is listed higher at OLB than Cooper, who played well as a rotational rusher last year.
Gregory will obviously jump into a starting role across from Chubb once he returns from his shoulder injury.
