BREAKING: Bronny James announces college commitment
The long and drawn out recruitment of high school phenom Bronny James has finally come to an end, with the NBA legend’s son announcing his commitment to the USC Trojans.
James chose USC over the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes in the end, though the Trojans were long thought to be the favorites since they were in Los Angeles.
There was always the Nike connection at Oregon that made the Ducks feel like a legitimate contender, but it’s fair to wonder in the end how close Dana Altman was to really landing James. With a trio of other signees in the 2023 class — 5-star Kwame Evans, 5-star Jackson Shelstad, and 4-star Mookie Cook — the freshman load on the roster was already going to be a lot.
