Brayan Rocchio leads the way as Guardians beat Blue Jays
As has been the case recently, a rookie led the way for the Guardians. Only this time, it was on the position players' side.
Brayan Rocchio went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and the Guardians (56-60) held on to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 Thursday afternoon at Progressive Field.

Rocchio was batting in the leadoff spot with Steven Kwan receiving a day of rest.
Jose Tena went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, including a single up the middle for his first career hit in the majors.
Guardians starter Noah Syndergaard (2-5) allowed one run on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks in 5⅔ innings. The Guardians bullpen struggled, as Enyel De Los Santos was knocked around, but Trevor Stephan recorded a strikeout with the bases loaded in the seventh to end the Blue Jays' biggest threat.
Emmanuel Clase earned his 31st save with a scoreless and hitless ninth, striking out two.
