Braves pitcher Sanchez goes on DL

Atlanta Braves right-hander Anibal Sanchez was placed on the 10-day disabled list after being injured while running in the outfield before Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Sanchez, who was scheduled to start Thursday's series opener against the New York Mets, was running in the outfield when he strained his right hamstring and was attended to by trainers. He left the field on a cart.

The 34-year-old is 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA in three games (two starts), with 14 strikeouts and 11 hits allowed in 14 innings.

Third baseman Johan Camargo was activated from the disabled list to take Sanchez's roster spot.

Earlier in the day, the Braves recalled left-hander Jesse Biddle from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace right-hander Jose Ramirez, who went on the 10-day disabled list with a shoulder inflammation.
