Bratton, Wilkinson, Grabans and Lewis named All-Ohio by OPSWA

COLUMBUS – The All-Ohio Division I and II girls’ basketball teams were announced Tuesday by a statewide media panel from the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.

Leading the way was Bloom-Carroll senior guard Emily Bratton, who was named first team All-Ohio in Division II for the second year in a row. It comes off the heels of Bratton being a finalist for Ohio Ms. Basketball.

Bratton’s teammate, Marissa Wilkinson and Fairfield Union senior Elly Lewis were named honorable mention All-Ohio in Division II, and Lancaster senior Jenna Grabans was an honorable mention All-Ohio pick in Division I.

Bratton and Wilkinson helped lead the Bulldogs to a 20-win season, the first in school history, as well as a Central District Division II district championship.

Bratton finished the season with a school record of 606 points and averaged 23.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 4.0 steals per game. She connected on 121 of 149 (81 percent) from the free throw line and took 18 charges.

Bratton scored a career-high 44 points in a game, marking the third time in her career she scored 40 or more points. She also became the Bloom-Carroll girls basketball all-time leading scorer with 1,745 career points, as well as finished her career with 488 assists, 292 steals 239 3-pointers, all school records.

Bratton was also the Mid-State League-Buckeye Division Player of the Year for the third time, District 11 Coaches Association Player of the Year for the third year in a row and repeated as the Central District Division II Player of the Year.

She has been selected to play in the Ohio North/South All-Star game and has been invited to play in the Ohio-Kentucky All-Star game.

Wilkinson averaged 10.1 points and connected on 31 3-pointers.

Lewis, who averaged double figures and was a three-year starter for the Falcons, was also named first team all-league and first team District 11 Coaches Association.

Grabans, who topped 1,000 career points, averaged 13.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game. She was named first team Ohio Capital Conference-Buckeye Division, first team District 11 Coaches Association and Division I third team All-Central District.
