Brantley, Reynolds, injuries mark the first causalities of Browns training camp

The contact is back, the pads are back and with it return the injuries. On Saturday Ed Reynolds sprained his MCL in his left knee and earlier today rookie defensive lineman Caleb Brantley broke his finger.

The Reynolds injury was more severe, with him expected to miss six weeks (which would not put him back on the field until around Week 3 of the regular season, the game against the Indianapolis Colts).

Reynolds was added to the Browns last season after being waived by the Eagles, and he logged 30 solo tackles and added much needed depth to the Cleveland secondary.

The Caleb Brantley injury is thankfully not as serious, as he’s expected to only miss the two weeks.

Joey Bosa notably played a huge chunk of last season and has gone through the offseason to this point with a dislocated finger, so this shouldn’t be a notable issue moving forward for Brantley.
