Boone County high school football final scores and recaps: Tolton, Centralia and Harrisburg win big

We've made it, friends. Friday was the final regular season week of Boone County High School football.

Week 9 had championship implications, as Southern Boone and Blair Oaks played for the Tri-County Conference title. There were also historical implications as Tolton could enjoy an undefeated regular season for the first time with a win.

Here's what happened around Boone County in Week 9.

Boone County High School Football Scoreboard

Belleville West 23, Hickman 20: In a wild final minute, Hickman scored on second and goal from the 19-yard line on a pass from Bredun Bursey to Carter Holliday. Hickman recovered the onside kick with 1:03 left in the game and drove to the Belleville West 21. A field goal attempt to tie the game for Hickman inched wide right.

Francis Howell 30, Rock Bridge 28: Francis Howell took a slim lead in the fourth when the defense recorded a safety with over six minutes remaining. Rock Bridge's offense took the ball and drove into Joey Scardina's range. But, the Vikings blocked the potential game-winning field goal to preserve the win.

Centralia 42, Macon 0: After suffering its first loss of the season last week against South Shelby, Centralia got back into the win column with a convincing win. The Panthers blanked Macon for four quarters, leading 28-0 at halftime. Two long touchdown runs in the second half iced the win for Centralia.

California 41, Hallsville 14: Playing on its new home turf for the second week in a row, the Hallsville offense struggled to consistently string together some momentum. California led 20-6 at halftime and took care of business in the second half.

Blair Oaks 62, Southern Boone 28: In the Tri-County Conference Championship game, Blair Oaks reminded mid-Missouri who's in charge. Southern Boone took a 28-26 lead on the Falcons in the third quarter on a touchdown pass from Austin Evans to Brady Dapkus. Blair Oaks would score 34 unanswered points the rest of the way to claim the conference crown.

Father Tolton 56, Fayette 0: Seeking perfection, Father Tolton made sure the quest would succeed. At halftime, the Trailblazers led 49-0 as Jake Ryan threw four first-half touchdowns. Cameron Lee put on the finishing touches by returning the opening kickoff in the second half for a score. The win improves Tolton to 9-0 for the first time in program history.

Hannibal 42, Battle 7: Hannibal came to Columbia and took it to Battle on the Spartans' senior night. Battle trailed 34-0 at halftime after a Hannibal sack on third and goal ran out the clock on the Spartans' scoring chance. Kendle Wilkerson hit Jayden Donnelly for a 52-yard touchdown to get Battle on the board in the fourth quarter.

Harrisburg 32, Scotland County 14: The Bulldogs end the regular season on a two-game winning streak. Sophomore Caleb Sager rushed for two touchdowns to lift Harrisburg on the ground, as the Bulldogs finished the regular season 4-5 in Brennan Claas's first season.
