Blue Jays Roundup: Blue Jay girls compete at WDA Indoor Meet
Mar. 27—BISMARCK — The 2024 WDA Indoor Meet served as a good measuring stick for the Jamestown High School girls track team Tuesday afternoon.
The Blue Jays finished out their second official meet with a fifth-place finish, tallying 86 points. Bismarck High won the meet's team title with a whopping 323 points. The girls will be back in action on April 2 for the start of the outdoor season. The invite is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at Valley City's Hanna Field
Allysah Larson pulled out a couple of top-three finishes — placing second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.11 seconds — and finishing third in the long jump with a mark of 16 feet, 6 inches.
Julia Skari placed fourth in the 60 meter hurdles finishing the stretch in 10.28 seconds while Hayden Olson tied for first place in the triple jump with a jump of 34 feet, 10 inches.
Addison Marker set a new personal record in shot put, launching her shot 36 feet, 8 inches to finish fifth. Kinley Anderson and Kendyl Anderson placed 10th and 17th respectively in the shot contest.
