Blue Jays' Grichuk makes unbelievably lucky catch

Baseball players are not often rewarded for an awkward fall in the outfield, but Randal Grichuk has proven to be the exception. Well, at least this one time.

In the first inning of Toronto’s tilt with Texas on Sunday afternoon, Rangers infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa managed to slap one to right field. Grichuk tripped up and stumbled to the ground while attempting to track the hit down, but that may have been his plan all along.

That’s not exactly what they teach you in little league but hey, an out is an out. And while it wasn’t pretty, Grichuk’s grab may be the rare play that can qualify for both the best plays and misplays of the month.
