HBO producer explains challenging ’24/7 Red Wings-Maple Leafs’ season as finale airs
The third season of 'HBO 24/7: Road To The NHL Winter Classic" ended over the weekend with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings playing in the big game at The Big House.
We have coordinating producer Bentley Weiner on the "Marek Vs. Wyshynski" podcast on Monday, and she discussed the challenges and successes from this season; why there wasn't more Pavel Datsyuk or Phil Kessel on the show; and if it's become more difficult to work with the NHL and its teams after three seasons.
Interesting that the NHL denied access to the disciplinary hearings to HBO. Considering how open they've attempted to make their process appear with Brendan Shanahan at the helm of the Dept. of Player Safety.
