Dodgers announcer Vin Scully meets the Stanley Cup for the first time and it is awesome (Video)
Los Angeles Dodgers announcer Vin Scully has been with the franchise since 1950, when they were the Brooklyn Dodgers. Growing up in Manhattan, the legendary baseball announcer was a New York Rangers fan, but most recently he's been a supporter of the Los Angeles Kings' Stanley Cup efforts.
The Dodgers were playing at home last Friday night when Alec Martinez's goal clinched the Cup for them over the New York Rangers in Game 5. While calling the game, Scully heard the crowd begin to roar in the seventh inning and that's when he knew something good had happened to the Kings.
On Tuesday night, the Dodgers honored the Kings at Dodger Stadium before their game with the Colorado Rockies. During the third inning, a special guest made its way to the broadcast booth in a surprise visit: the Stanley Cup.

The greatness of Scully is that in the same breath he can be thanking the Kings for their championship run, calling a bunt attempt that goes foul and then inquiring about whether there were margaritas made in the Cup bowl on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night. "I'm sure you've washed off all the salt now."
Vin is the greatest.
