J.J. Worton made an incredible one-handed catch to tie the game for Central Florida (GIF)

Did Central Florida's J.J. Worton's right hand potentially save the Knights' season Saturday?

Worton's incredible diving, one-handed catch in the back of the end zone tied the game late in the fourth quarter against Temple and set the stage for an improbable 39-36 win.

UCF quarterback Blake Bortles rolled to his left and found Worton with just over a minute left, hitting him to knot things up at 36-36.

UCF then stopped Temple and took over with 28 seconds left at its own 30. On UCF's first play, Bortles hit Rannell Hall for 64 yards to put the ball at the Temple 6, and set up Shawn Moffitt for a chip-shot field goal as time expired.

The win keeps Central Florida a game ahead of Louisville and Cincinnati atop the American Athletic Conference and in sight of an Orange Bowl berth.
