Video: Watch former F1 driver David Coulthard catch a golf ball in a convertible

If you're bored this weekend, this isn't a good idea to try at the driving range.

In the above video from Mercedes, former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard attempts to catch a golf ball while driving 180 mph. And he's successful.

The stunt, which took place on a runway, provided plenty of open space for Coulthard to time his run as the ball is hit with a driver. (When combining racing and golf, you always have to use the driver. Always.)

No, this wasn't something where Coulthard waited with an open vehicle some 280 yards away and guesstimated the landing spot. He raced the golf ball down the runway. And open runway or not, how many people would have the cojones -- not to mention the skill -- to look up into the sky and track the freaking golf ball while going 180 mph? That's by far the best part of the video. It's something that we wouldn't recommend doing at 15 mph down your street. But on a runway at 180 for a world-class driver? That looked easy. And so did the burnout.
