Mikel LeShoure is beasting, probably on your bench

Detroit running back Mikel LeShoure entered the week with just one touchdown on 96 touches this season, and he's ceded late-game snaps to Joique Bell. It hasn't exactly been a highlight-filled year. Thus, Mikel has failed to join the every-week club in fantasy.

LeShoure was only40 percent-started in Yahoo! fantasy leagues in Week 9, despite facing Jacksonville's defense, a group that ranks No. 25 against the run.

As it turns out, um ... benching him may have been a small mistake.

Let's hope you listened to Brad Evans on Mikel (RB15), not me (RB23). Brad knows things where these Illini backs are concerned.

LeShoure crossed the goal line three times against the Jags in the first half on Sunday, rushing for over 50 yards in the process. His touchdown runs have been from 7, 1 and 8 yards.

None of the scores have had an unusually high degree of difficulty, but fantasy owners don't care about style points. Mikel's 1-yard TD was set up by a long Calvin Johnson reception where 'Tron was brought down just shy of the goal line. (Tough break, Calvin owners).

Clearly, we can put to rest concerns about LeShoure's health. And it doesn't really matter if Bell snags late-game touches, as long as Mikel visits the end zone early. LeShoure is still unowned in roughly a quarter of all Yahoo! leagues, so a few thousand of you can still make the add ... one week late.
