Andy Roddick has a new look at Queen’s Club

Andy Roddick just wanted to "flash some calf" by going with black ankle socks for his first match at Queen's Club. That he did. He also caused a minor stir with his short-sock decision.

Some younger players Tweeted about Roddick's new look while others suggested he was trying to emulate his buddy Mardy Fish, who's rocked the look for years. Personally, I think it's a preemptive strike against up-and-coming American teenager Jack Sock. Whatever the reason, the new look accompanied Roddick's first win since Indian Wells. He defeated Feliciano Lopez in three sets, 7-6 (2), 6-7 (5), 6-4.

His balance, on the other hand, has been better:

Seeing as how I'm a blogger who's currently wearing ankle socks and is pretty much the same age as Roddick, I shan't be casting stones about his fashion choices from my couch in the glass basement of my mother's house.
